Caption Reads: Ayno Maina as seen from a crumbling Soviet-era housing complex next door. The development is the brain child of Hamid Helmandi, an Afghan-American who builds homes in Southern California.
Sacha Morales I think that Jane Jacobs would like this Afghanistan establishment, but then again their are some things she would not like. She would not the run-down look of these buildings because it looks like a slum, something she does not like. She also would not like the fact that their is no greenery or sidewalks here, but just dirt paths. These buildings however are orthodox as they are all in rows and look almost uniform in size and appearance, and that is something she would approve of. This is also most similar to a Radiant city because the buildings are somewhat tall.
